Chad Johnson & Russell Franek "The Bohemian Duo" have been playing music together for over 16 years! It started back in Junior High when they both played in "The Grundhoefer Band." Back then Chad was playing drums, and Russ was playing Rhythm guitar. After High School Chad and Russ would start a band called "Communication Breakdown."
They released their first album in January 2001. They played all over the state in countless bars, and festivals. In 2004 the band broke up. Chad and Russ would remain good friends, and would get together a few times a year to jam. In 2008 Chad and Russ were asked to play for a buddies annual party (Doogie Palooza) and shortly after that they were being asked to play in local bars in there home town. Only this time it was just the two of them sitting down with acoustic guitar’s, doing acoustic shows. "We would play some of our Originals from our pervious bands, but we’d also play a lot of the classic cover songs that we always played while in the band."
They play a wide variety of cover songs ranging from Elvis Presley, Johnny Cash, The Rolling Stones, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Tom Petty, and CCR. Just to name a few! They play everything from old country to new country, and from old rock to new rock. "There’s something for everybody! It’s real music, for real people!"
